I AM…beautiful
I AM…confident
I AM…vivacious
I AM..wonderful
I AM….me!
A woman should never stop repeating these words to herself. As society tells us to look a certain way, sometimes our DNA is not built to resemble the images in the tabloids or magazines. However a woman should feel beautiful with her God given curves all protecting her health along the way of course!
Mimi herself has blessed us with her thoughts on a woman’s self-esteem:
We often find ourselves repeating that word constantly but not really knowing what it means or what it stands for. In a couple of sentences let’s see if we can explain to our readers the meaning of self esteem:
Honestly, I think the word explains itself. Basically self esteem is knowing your worth, which represents a lot I would think. It’s about how you value yourself and how you feel about your achievements. It is very important to have self esteem because the more you have; the more courageous you become to try new things.
Having self esteem transpires also in self respect. Even the people that are around you will come to respect you for just by looking at you they can feel that confidence exuding from you; holding your head up high and being proud become second nature.
Having good self esteem also help in decision making, decisions become firm and it’s harder to back out from them for you hold yourself accountable for your actions. It basically matures you to view things differently, to act on a positive note. People’s words no longer affect you because you know who you are and what you stand for.
We are all human and it’s ok to feel a little down sometimes but don’t ever let that get in the way of your self worth. There are several ways that I want to share with you of how you can always keep your self esteem exactly where it needs to be, for example:
1) Wake up every morning, look in the mirror, compliment yourself, tell yourself how beautiful you are. It doesn’t matter if you are big, skinny, long hair, short hair, dark skin, light skin, you are still beautiful. God created you that way. You are unique.
2) Stay away from negativity in every shape or form as much as you can. Try to always stay positive. You’re going to find people that constantly will try to be negative around you, just smile at them and bring the positive thoughts in your mind. Not easy to do but definitely worth it.
3) Find activities that you are good at and start dong them. If you like to dance, dance. You like to sing, sing. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you because the minute they tell you cannot do it then you are automatically going to start believing it.
Overall by focusing on all of those areas in your life, trust me you will learn to love and appreciate yourself even more….
